Micron Agritech is home of the Micron Kit which allows quick testing of animals for parasites on-site and clear results through the Micron Agritech app. Results can be delivered within 30 minutes and there is an added track and trace which identifies the most common parasite among a herd of cattle. The Micron Kit allows you to diagnose the problem and administer the correct dewormer to the animal in need, reducing long-term resistance.

The idea began in 2019 with Daniel Hijazi, Tara McElligott, Sean Smith and Jose Lopez as they began research that focused on the resistance farm animals have to medication. During the course of their research, they realised how underserviced the agricultural industry is by technological advancements and the benefits that new tech could provide to an industry that’s increasingly under pressure.
