The Industry Innovation Sprint Programme is co-ordinated by the Circular Bioeconomy Cluster SouthWest and the AgriTech Ireland Cluster. The programmes present an opportunity for employers to engage with graduates to explore and progress sustainable agriculture, agritech, circular economy and low carbon bioeconomy goals in their business.

The Industry Innovation Sprint Programme is co-ordinated by the Circular Bioeconomy Cluster SouthWest and the AgriTech Ireland Cluster. The programmes present an opportunity for employers to engage with graduates to explore and progress sustainable agriculture, agritech, circular economy and low carbon bioeconomy goals in their business.

Level 8 graduates will be participating in the 10-week programme from a range of courses including:

  • Agricultural Science
  • Veterinary Science
  • Wildlife Biology
  • Agricultural Engineering
  • Manufacturing Engineering
  • Business Studies with Marketing

The employer will create a project for the graduate to work on during the time-period. The project should focus on a new opportunity / solving a challenge in the business related to sustainable agriculture and bioeconomy.


Benefits:

  • Introduce a new skillset and fresh-thinking to your company
  • Assess a new project opportunity with support of a graduate, academic supervisor and a cluster manager
  • Integrate latest thinking in environmental sciences / agri-tech / bioeconomy / sustainability to your specific project
  • Engage with graduates on a 10-week Sprint before commitment to a longer-term Graduate


Programme Criteria:

  • Applicable topics and sectors are across agriculture, forestry, marine: ecology, animal health, animal genetics, precision agriculture, soil science, environmental impact assessment, biodiversity
  • The proposed project will be 10 weeks in length, have clear reasonable goals and objectives suitable for the timeframe.
  • Available to meet with graduate to provide guidance


Process:

  • Fill out the form with project details
  • Our team will match graduates with projects through a competitive process
  • Project start date: Mid-June
  • Return form by April 30th
